Man Out On Bond For Murder Caught With Rifle On Traffic Stop By SHERIFF VICTOR HILL’S Elite BlackHawk Unit.
Earlier this week, Sheriff Victor Hill’s elite traffic unit “BlackHawk” conducted a vehicle stop on Holiday Blvd at Morrow Road for failing to stop at a stop sign. During the stop, Deputies found De’Anthony Walter in possession of an assault rifle and a pistol. While making further inquiry, it was learned that Walter was out on bond for 2 counts of murder and aggravated assault from a drive by shooting. Even more disturbing was the low amount of the bond issued by the former administration of magistrate court that was just replaced in January. Walters was given a $25,000.00 bond for felony murder, a $20,000.00 bond for murder, and a $5,000.00 bond for aggravated assault.
Sheriff Victor Hill when notified of the incident immediately made contact with with the new Chief Magistrate Judge Keisha Wright-Hill and requested a review to see if there are any other dangerous criminals out on ridiculous low bonds from the prior administration. Judge Wright-Hill agreed to look into this matter to insure the safety of Clayton County.
Meanwhile, Walters bond was revoked and he is now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail now better known to all as “The Hill-ton”.
