Deputies arrested Abraham Garcia of Yucca Valley for Attempted Murder

SUSPECT(S): Abraham Garcia, 23-year-old resident of Yucca Valley

SUMMARY: On Sunday, April 4, 2021, at 11:09 p.m., deputies assigned to the Morongo Basin Station were dispatched to a call of a fight at a residence on the 7000 block of Barberry Avenue in the town of Yucca Valley.
Deputies responded to the residence and observed a male, later identified as Abraham Garcia, running away from the residence. A short foot pursuit ensued and deputies were able to take Garcia into custody without further incident. Through investigation, it was determined Garcia was involved in an altercation with his uncle for unknown reasons. During the altercation, a fight ensued and Garcia assaulted the victim and rendered him unconscious. The victim was transported to an area hospital and treated for his injuries. Garcia was arrested for attempted murder and transported to the Morongo Basin Jail where he is being held in lieu of $1,000,000.00 bail.
