*UPDATE* #LASD Homicide Responded to a Death Investigation, 2500blk Santa Ana St, #HuntingtonPark
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman. The incident was reported Sunday, April 4, 2021, at approximately 10:30 p.m., on the 2500 block of Santa Ana Street in Huntington Park.
Century Station deputies responded to the location regarding a report of a stolen vehicle. They contacted the informant (resident) who stated their vehicle was missing along with a 75 year-old female family member. Preliminary information revealed foul play at the location and a stolen vehicle/missing persons investigation was initiated.
The stolen vehicle was located early this morning in the city of Rosemead, along with a male adult who is the son of the missing female. At approximately 6:30 a.m. this morning, the body of a female adult was located in a trash receptacle within a close proximity to the location (2550 Santa Ana St, Huntington Park). She was pronounced deceased at the scene and is believed to be the missing female (Victim) reported the night before.
The identity and cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
The person of interest being detained pending further investigation.
Detectives are canvassing the area for additional evidence and/or witnesses.
