Deputies with the Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating a single-vehicle fatal collision

DATE/TIME: April 3, 2021/ 2:34 am

INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision

LOCATION: Archibald Avenue and 19th Street

VICTIM: 22-year-old male from La Verne

SUMMARY:

On April 3, 2021, at 2:34 am, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station responded to a single vehicle traffic collision near the intersection of Archibald Avenue and 19th Street. Deputies determined the involved vehicle was traveling north on Archibald Avenue and lost control, crossing over southbound lanes, and colliding with a tree and a light pole on the west side of Archibald Avenue. The driver, a 22 year old male whose name is being withheld pending next of kin notification, was pronounced deceased by Rancho Cucamonga Fire District at the scene.
The Rancho Cucamonga Station’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded to the scene to conduct the traffic accident investigation.
