Alert

April 10, 2021: Substantial amount of methamphetamines seized. One arrest made.

On April 10, 2021 @ approximately 11:00 PM, an off duty DPS Trooper reported and was following a reckless driver.   Officer Napier and Officer Tovar stopped the vehicle near the curve on FM 356.  The driver refused to give the Officers consent to search the vehicle she was driving.  Officers requested Trinity County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Harrelson to bring K-9 Riley to the scene.  K-9 Riley alerted on the vehicle, which subsequently led to the discovery of a large amount of methamphetamines “meth” between the driver seat and center console.  A preliminary weighing of the meth showed it to approximately 145 grams (pictured below).  The meth's estimated street value is $3,500.  The meth will be sent to the Department of Public Safety Crime Lab to be officially identified and weighed for court purposes.  The suspect arrested was a 58 year old white female whom resides on Eagle Drive in Trinity County, Texas.
