On Saturday 4/10/2021 Jose Arnaldo Ramos Ramirez 26, of Readington Township was arrested and charged with sexual assault on a minor, lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child. An investigation was initiated by the Readington Police Department Patrol Division. The Readington Township Detective Bureau continued the investigation with assistance from the Hunterdon and Somerset County Prosecutor’s Offices as well as the Raritan Township Police Department. This led to the defendant being arrested the same day. Ramos Ramirez was subsequently lodged in the Warren County Jail pending a detention hearing. The filing of charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
