The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health announced 30 new confirmed novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases over the course of one week, bringing us to a total of 4,907 confirmed cases in the City of Rosemead.  Due to patient confidentiality, no further information on the identity of the residents has been released by the Public Health authorities. We take this pandemic very seriously and send our deepest sympathies to those whose lives have been affected by this pandemic. Please do your part and take all measures our local, state, and federal partners recommend to keep you and your families healthy and safe. The data provided on the site indicates where a patient lives, not where COVID-19 was contracted. Do not assume that one area is safer than another. Do not have non-essential gatherings with anyone outside of your immediate family (living with you). Essential gatherings only include medical visits and purchasing food.

These are additional ways you can help prevent the spread of COVID-19:

• Wash hands with soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds;
• Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands;
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick;
• If you are sick, isolate yourself from others in your home and call your doctor to determine what care you need. If available, consider telemedicine to speak with your healthcare provider; and
• If you have recently returned from an area with ongoing COVID-19 infections, follow public health protocols and monitor your health.
