Arrest of convicted felon with stolen firearm
On 4-13-2021, the Arroyo Grande Police Department arrested Stephen Nathanial Lockett IV, a 39-year-old resident of Arroyo Grande.
After receiving a report that Lockett, a convicted felon, was illegally possessing a firearm, investigators obtained a search warrant for Lockett and his residence.
Lockett was contacted by officers as he left his residence this morning. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted and Lockett was taken into custody without incident. The search warrant was executed and the firearm was recovered.
Locket was booked (booking photo attached) at the San Luis Obispo County Jail with charges of:
- 29800(a)(1)PC – Felon in Possession of a Firearm
- 30305(a)(1)PC – Felon in Possession of Ammunition
- Drug related offenses
- Felony warrant for 646.9(a)PC – Stalking
- Misdemeanor warrant for drug related offenses.
