Deputies conducted a traffic stop for expired registration & found a loaded semi-automatic pistol inside the vehicle

HS 11370.1 (A) – Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed
PC 22210 – Possession of a Leaded Cane
PC 30305 (A) (1) – Felon in Possession of Ammunition
PC 32310 – Felon in Possession of Large Capacity Magazine
LOCATION: Carnelian Street and Base Line Road
SUSPECT: Matthew Muro, 37-years-old of Rancho Cucamonga
Summary: On April 14, 2021, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station conducted a traffic stop on a black Jeep with expired registration. Deputies contacted the driver and identified him as Matthew Muro. A records check revealed Muro had an outstanding warrant for possession of metal knuckles.
Deputies searched the vehicle and found a loaded semi-automatic pistol, a loaded high-capacity magazine, a metal baton, and numerous Xanax pills.
Muro was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center where he remains in custody on $75,000 bail.
