Following a pursuit, Jorge Luiz Vallesillo was arrested for felony evading and possession of a stolen vehicle

INCIDENT:  Felony Evading and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle  
 
LOCATION: Pecos Road and Bear Valley Road, Apple Valley
 
SUSPECT(S):  Jorge Luiz Vallesillo, a 28-year-old resident of San Bernardino
  
 
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 2:14 am, Sergeant Travis Randolph with the Apple Valley Police Department observed a vehicle attempting to street race near Navajo Road and Ottawa Road. A traffic stop was attempted near Bear Valley Road and Pecos Road; however, the driver, later identified as Jorge Luiz Vallesillo, failed to stop, and a pursuit ensued.
 
Vallesillo lead deputies on a 6-mile pursuit, where he failed to stop at the posted stop signs, ran red lights travelling at a high rate of speed.  Vallesillo and an unknown passenger fled on foot after crashing into a fence on the 12000 block of Algonquin Road. Vallesillo was located a short time later in the back yard of a nearby residence and taken into custody without further incident. The vehicle was found to have been reported stolen out of West Covina, and the passenger is still outstanding.
 
Vallesillo was booked into the High Desert Detention Center on suspicion of felony evading and possession of a stolen vehicle and is scheduled to appear in the Victorville Superior court on April 15, 2021. In addition to these charges, Vallesillo was booked on a felony warrant out of Riverside County.
