Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a female adult. The incident occurred on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at approximately 5:10 a.m. on the 22800 block of Fir Court, Santa Clarita.
 
Homicide Detectives have identified the suspect as 41-year-old James Mathew Dorsey from Washington State. He is describe as a male White, 5’06, 165 lbs, date of birth of May 09, 1979.  He fled the scene driving a White Chevy Malibu, 4-door sedan with California plate of 7ALF904.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.  Please call 9-1-1 if you see the suspect and do not approach.
 
The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.

NARRATIVE:

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to the 22800 block of Fir Court, Santa Clarita regarding the stabbing death of a female. The incident occurred on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at approximately 5:10 a.m.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.
