INCIDENT:   Sexual Exploitation of Minors
 
LOCATION: 10600 block of Geronimo Avenue, Bloomington
 
SUSPECT:  Carlos Guerrero, 22 years of age, resident of Ontario
 
VICTIM(S): Confidential
 
 
SUMMARY:
On October 7, 2020, detectives from the Fontana Sheriff's Station received a Cyber Tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) concerning a recent posting of inappropriate matter depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor through Snapchat. Detectives began investigating images involving child pornography through an internet protocol address provided by the Cyber Tip.
 
During the following months, detectives authored search warrants related to Snapchat and the user involved. Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified the location where the images were uploaded at a residence in Bloomington and conducted hours of surveillance.
 
On April 14, 2021, detectives served a search warant at the residence in Bloomington, which clearly identified Carlos Guerrero as the subject responsible for the child porn. Detectives collected evidence at the residence but did not locate Guerrero at the home in question. Information was gathered related to the whereabouts of Guerrero now residing at a home in Ontario.  Later tin the afternoon, detectives drove to Ontario and located Guerrero. Guerrero was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center without further incident.
