Spring has sprung and it’s time to once again clean it out and drop it off! National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is this Saturday, April 24th. RX Take-Back Day is a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of your unused or expired prescription drugs. Old and unused prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to accidental poisoning, overdose, and abuse. Pharmaceutical drugs can be just as dangerous as street drugs when taken without a prescription or a doctor’s supervision.

2021 marks 10 years of Take-Back events and over that time more than 13 million pounds of expired, unused, and unwanted prescription medications have been collected nationwide.  The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. We will be following COVID-19 safety protocols of social distancing and face coverings. You can drop off pills and patches at either of our stations between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm on the 24th. Please note that we are unable to accept liquids, needles, or sharps. Our Larkspur station is located at 250 Doherty Drive and our San Anselmo station is at 525 San Anselmo Avenue.
