Prescribed Burn in Larkspur at Citron Bowl, King Mountain open space today, April 19th.


Marin County Fire and Marin Open Space are conducting a prescribed burn in the Citron Bowl of the King Mountain open Space Preserve in Larkspur Today, April 19, 2021.  Smoke is visible in Larkspur and naturally, many people are concerned.  The burn is being managed by fire personnel, please do not call 9-1-1 or the non-emegency lines to report the fire. 
 
This project aims to use prescribed burning to remove piles of vegetation cut in the fall and winter of 2020 as part of a fire hazard reduction and invasive plant removal project in the Citron Bowl area of the King Mountain Open Space Preserve.
