With the recent concern regarding national law enforcement related events, the Manhattan Beach Police Department would like to assure the community that we have prepared an operational plan, which outlines our intent to protect our residents and visitors from any crime as well as supporting peaceful demonstrations. 

This plan will also allow the Manhattan Beach Police Department to provide for a safe environment for our community and businesses, while also providing mutual aid agency assistance to our law enforcement partners requesting our help in the event of any civil unrest, riotous behavior, or other disruption. 

We have been in contact with our local, and state partners to ensure we establish communication to facilitate and streamline any requests for assistance or other matters. At this time the city of Manhattan Beach has not received any information that we will be a target of any disruptions, however the Manhattan Beach Police Department will continue to monitor such events and take appropriate action as necessary.
