* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 degrees this morning. For the second Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28 expected.

* WHERE...Butler, Kingman, Sedgwick and Harper Counties.

* WHEN...For the first Freeze Warning, until 10 AM CDT this morning. For the second Freeze Warning, from 1 AM to 10 AM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BUTLER ... KINGMAN ... SEDGWICK ... HARPER

Instructions:

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Especially for those with sprinkler systems that have above ground piping.
