Police Arrest Suspect in Gas Station Shooting

On Friday, April 16th at 5:20 am, San Leandro Police responded to the area of W. Juana and Carpentier Street for a gunshot victim.  The victim informed officers that he was shot at the Shell gas station, located at 2175 Marina Boulevard. The victim was transported to a trauma hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition.

Investigation revealed the suspect was a Shell station clerk, a 31-year-old male named Sergio Williams. Mr. Williams was located in the City of Fremont and arrested for attempted homicide.  He stated he was upset that the victim had parked in the lot of the gas station for an extended period.  

“San Leandro Detectives worked closely with Fremont Police in locating and safely taking the suspect into custody within hours of the initial investigation.  We hope the victim makes a speedy recovery,” said Lt. Ali Khan.
