As most of you are aware a verdict has been reached in the trial of former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin. The judge will announce the verdict between 1:30-3:30 pm today. We want to assure all of you that the City is prepared for anything that could happen here or in our region. Chief Incontro is in constant contact with a variety of agencies and resources that have been providing information to all of us for the past several weeks. Chief Rueda has prepared, trained our employees, and has all emergency operations, if needed, in place. At this time there has been no intelligence or information that the City is at risk. We support the right of all people to exercise their First Amendment rights in a peaceful manner.
