The Muskegon Police Department would like to remind motorists that to operate a motor vehicle, a valid license plate issued for the vehicle must be attached to the rear of the vehicle (MCL 257.225). Operating without a valid license plate displayed may result in enforcement action being taken by law enforcement.
Motorists should also be aware that state legislature extensions for expired driver’s licenses, temporary instruction permits, and registrations for vehicles, recreational vehicles and trailers ended on March 31.
