Salida, CA – Shortly after midnight on April 22nd, deputies were dispatched to a home in the 4600 block of Zinfandel Avenue in Salida for a report of someone being shot. When deputies arrived, they found Justin Johnson (38, Marysville) inside the home unresponsive. Deputies attempted life-saving measures, and Johnson was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
 
During the investigation, deputies learned that shots had been fired into the home from a passing car. There were several other occupants in the house at the time of the shooting; however, Johnson was the only one struck by gunfire.  
 
Detectives are asking anyone who may have information regarding this homicide to contact Detective Silva at 209-525-7091.
