Macungie Police Impersonation SCAM attempts from phone number (610) 615-1992. Click the link for details. 
Our department received several calls from victims stating they received calls from (610) 615-1992. Some of the calls were answered by a male identifying himself as Sergeant Travis Kocher of the Macungie Police Department. The male told one person they had warrants for missing a court case. The victim ended the call before instructions or directions were given. It is believed the call was an attempt to scam money from the victim.
The phone number has a voicemail set up with a recorded message indicating it is Sergeant Kocher of the Macungie Police Department and a message should be left. The voice recording is NOT Sergeant Kocher.
These calls are NOT AUTHORIZED by the Macungie Police Department and caution should be taken if you receive a call from this number.
