Ulices Hernandez was arrested during a traffic stop for felon in possession of a firearm

LOCATION: Osbun Road and Lynwood Drive, San Bernardino
SUSPECT: Ulices Hernandez, 22 years of age, resident of San Bernardino
SUMMARY:
On April 21, 2021, at approximately 12:56 a.m., Deputy Velasco conducted a proactvie traffic stop in the area of Osbun Road and Lynwood Drive in the county area of San Bernardino. Ulices Hernandez was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Hernandez had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest and a suspended driver's license. During an inventory of the vehicle, Deputy Velasco located a loaded Smith & Wesson .22 caliber handgun hidden underneath the driver seat. Hernandez was not the registered owner of the firearm and he was in unlawful possession of the firearm because a a prior felony conviction.
Hernandez was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center for PC 29800(a)(1) - Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
