A round of showers and thunderstorms is expected today (Friday) as an upper level storm system sweeps through the Southern Plains. Storms may develop as early as mid morning, but are most likely during the afternoon and evening . Storms are expected to intensify quickly with the primary threats being large hail and damaging winds. However, a few tornadoes are also possible. Have multiple ways to receive warnings and frequently check the weather throughout the day!
