LOCATION: 13000 block of 5th Street, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): William Morgan, age 77, resident of Yucaipa
SUMMARY:
Investigators from the Yucaipa Police Department began an investigation into a cyber tip that was reported by an Electronic Service Provider (ESP). The cyber tip contained various images of child pornography. Through investigation, detectives determined the child pornography was downloaded to a home in Yucaipa.
On August 27, 2020, personnel from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Crimes Against Children Division and Sheriff's Hi-Tech Division assisted Yucaipa detectives with the service of a search warrant in the 13000 block of 5th Street in Yucaipa. William Morgan was contacted and interviewed, and computer equipment was seized for examination.
On April 22, 2021, Yucaipa detectives re-interviewed Morgan and at the end of the interview, he was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino.
