On Monday, April 26, 2021 at approximately 2000 hours, the Readington Township Police Department was dispatched to Walgreens for a report of an individual that passed a fraudulent medical prescription.  Upon, arrival officers located Robert Myers (56) of Jersey City, NJ who was the individual that passed the fraudulent prescription.  The investigation revealed that Myers altered a prescription and attempted to obtain narcotics.  Officers arrested Myers and charged him with possession of fraudulent prescription.  Myers was released from police custody pending a future court appearance.  The filing of charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
