Flash Flood Watch until 04:00PM

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Portions of north central Arkansas and western Arkansas, including the following areas, in north central Arkansas, Baxter, Boone, Fulton, Izard, Marion, Newton, Searcy and Stone. In western Arkansas, Johnson, Logan, Polk and Scott.

* Through this afternoon

* Widespread rainfall, with some locally heavy, will add to the runoff. Another half to one inch of rain could bring full creeks and streams over their banks.

* Heaviest rainfall could cause roads to be impassable while visibility is restricted.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BOONE ... MARION ... BAXTER ... FULTON ... NEWTON ... SEARCY ... STONE ... IZARD ... JOHNSON ... LOGAN ... SCOTT ... POLK

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
