Resurfacing of Kinderkamack Road
The Westwood Police Department and Chief Michael R. Pontillo would like to inform our residents that Tilcon Paving Company, in conjunction with the Bergen County Road Department, will be resurfacing Kinderkamack Road from the Old Hook Road intersection to Lincoln Boulevard in the Borough of Emerson. The milling and paving of the road will commence on or about Monday May 3rd and run through Thursday May 8th. The work will be conducted between the hours of 4:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Schedule adjustments may occur based on the weather between now and the start date of the project and the work will be completed depending on cooperating weather.
Due to the nature of this project, it is important that residents and business owners are made aware that the ability to leave or return to their homes or businesses will be impacted at some point during the work hours. It is suggested that vehicles be moved prior to start times or parked in other locations during this time period.
Please be advised that traffic detours will periodically change during the construction to ensure the best possible traffic flow throughout duration of the project. Police Officers will be onsite to assist and guide motorists to their destinations. Any questions or concerns may be directed to Captain Jay Hutchinson at 201-664-7000 ext. 153 or [email protected]
Thank you for your patience and understanding while this infrastructure work is completed. Reverse 911 calls will be made to residents, through The Westwood Office of Emergency Management, in the local areas prior to the commencement of the work.
