The South Londonderry Township Police Department has been receiving reports of fraudulent phone calls in relation to Amazon Accounts and Credit Cards.  Residents are reminded to use caution anytime they are contacted by businesses when they had not solicited the contact first.  Many of these fraudulent calls are using internet technology to provide false phone numbers to caller ID, many of which appear to be local. When in doubt, hang up and make contact with any business using their official contact phone numbers and/or e-mail addresses before providing any identifying information such as dates of birth, social security numbers, credit or account numbers and answers to security questions. Please share this information with family and friends. You might be able to prevent a life-altering loss of assets.
