SLPD Investigating Domestic Murder-Suicide. 
On May 3, at 1 am, SLPD responded to the 15000 block of Crosby Street for a welfare check of a husband and wife at the request of family members. Officers located a female and male suffering from fatal gunshots in what appears to be a domestic violence murder-suicide.
Detectives are currently investigating the homicide; therefore, additional information will not be released other than it appears to be stemming from a domestic dispute. Additionally, SLPD will not be releasing the names of either party until next of kin are notified.
“Domestic violence sometimes goes unreported because victims don’t know whom to turn to for help. Our hearts go out to the victim’s family in this tragic incident”, said Lt. Ali Khan
