Job Fair, Business Seminar & Panel Discussion on Business in Post Pandemic on Monday May 10, 4-7pm @ Adrenaline Sports Academy
Adrenaline Sports Academy Hosts Economic Development Day in South Toms River
Back in 2019, Governor Phil Murphy established every second Monday as Economic Development Day. As part of a yearly proclamation, it is asked to "organize and attend events to discuss job creation, economic resiliency, and how to optimize and streamline economic development programs to empower communities and continue to foster economic growth." And with signs of an eager economy, with yet still a very present pandemic, The Borough of South Toms River is taking a new approach to a new reality, and acting upon this proclamation.
The Adrenaline Sports Academy is providing the necessary boost to the local economy in South Toms River by hosting a job fair and business seminar on Monday, May 10, 2021, from 4pm-7pm. This is an inside event and Covid protocols will be under mandate.
This is for both to empower businesses and potential employees, at one event. For businesses and those focused on tools and discussions related to Covid-19, the Central Businesses Association will host a panel discussion focused on the current and post-pandemic-recovery. The panel will be moderated by C.O.B A President John Crisafuli, with a slate of business and Government professionals including Congressman Andy Kim, Ocean County Commissioner Joe Vicari, South Toms River Mayor Gregory Handshy, and others. The panel discussin will be from 4:15-5pm, and will be both in-person and by Zoom.
The other focus of this event is to allow those seeking employment, an opportunity to speak with businesses looking to hire; and interviews are encouraged on-spot. Local merchants of any size interested in participating, may email [email protected]
"The economy is nowhere it should be. However, with several businesses looking to hire in the Borough of South Toms River and neighboring communities, there is hope. We are taking a new approach to the response of a new threat (Covid-19)," Mayor Gregory Handshy.
