KCMO will be conducting the monthly test of the outdoor tornado warning sirens today at 11:00 am.

The sirens are designed to be heard when you are outdoors, although other sounds such as mowing, heavy freeway traffic, construction, etc. may make them difficult to hear.  It is always advisable to have another means of being alerted to severe weather, such as a phone app or NOAA weather radio.
