Details: On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at approximately 8:30PM, Corcoran Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired registration in the 500 block of Dairy Avenue. The vehicle was driven by Alex Renteria (38) and was occupied by Kendra Gear (33) both of Alpaugh. Renteria was driving while his license was suspended and he was found to have outstanding warrants and was placed under arrest. Renteria told officers there was a rifle under the passenger seat. Officers subsequently located a sawed off .22 caliber rifle in the vehicle. Renteria, who is a previously convicted felon, was also found to be in possession of 2 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition. Additionally, Renteria was found to be in possession of a metal throwing star and Gear was in possession of metal knuckles. Officers also located approximately .9grams of methamphetamine and 2 syringes in the vehicle. They were both booked into Kings County Jail.
