INCIDENT: Penal Code 25850(a), Carrying a loaded firearm in public
LOCATION: 1300 block of Sherman Street, Needles
SUSPECT(S): Michael Finnicum, 41-year-old resident of Corona
SUMMARY: On May 6, 2021, Deputies from the Needles Sheriff Station responded to the 1300 block of Sherman Street, in the City of Needles, for a report of a man knocking on doors in the area with a gun in his hand.
When deputies arrived, they found the suspect (Michael Finnicum ) walking down Sherman Street with a handgun tucked in his waistband. Finnicum repeatedly refused to follow deputies commands and was subsequently apprehended by use of a less lethal taser. Finnicum was arrested and booked at the Colorado River Station Jail for PC 25850(a), carrying a loaded firearm in public.
