Catalytic Converter Suspects Arrested
Ontario, CA – The Ontario Police Department arrested three individuals in connection with catalytic converter thefts.
On Friday, May 7th, 2021 at approximately 12:38 A.M., Ontario Police officers responded to the 2000 block of E. Mulberry Court after receiving a report of a catalytic converter theft that had just occurred.
Responding officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was seen leaving the area. Officers contacted the three occupants, Erick Cubias, Mario Ramirez-Mendoza and Julio Martinez all who reside in the Los Angeles County area. During the investigation, officers discovered burglary tools and four stolen catalytic converters recovered from inside the vehicle.
All three suspects were booked at the West Valley Detention Center on charges of grand theft, felony vandalism and conspiracy.
