On Friday, May 7, 2021 at approximately 11:38 p.m. Public Safety Officers responded to the 600 block of Kifer Road after receiving a 911 phone call about a man who was unconscious and not breathing. Upon arrival, officers immediately provided medical aid to the victim. Unfortunately, the victim didn’t survive and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers determined the victim’s death was a result of a fight between the victim and a known associate who fled the scene prior to officers arrived. Officers conducted a search and located the suspect, 41-year-old Sunnyvale resident Roberto Carlos Ramirez-Renderos, and placed him under arrest. Suspect Ramirez-Renderos was later booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for Murder, violation of penal code 187 PC.
This investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available to release at this time. The name of the victim will not be released until after his family has been notified.
