INCIDENT:   House Fire/Death Investigation
 
LOCATION: 13400 block of Hidden Valley Road, an unincorporated area of Victorville
 
VICTIM(S):   5-year-old male (hospitalized)
5-year-old female (hospitalized)
                      10-year-old male (hospitalized)
                     12-year-old male (deceased)
                      
SUMMARY:
On Friday, May 7, 2021, at approximately 11:16 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station and emergency rescue personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a residence in the 13400 block of Hidden Valley Road following the report of a house fire.  Upon arrival, emergency personnel were advised four juveniles were inside the home on the second floor.  Arriving personnel rescued the children, and they were all transported to local area hospitals.  Despite life-saving measures performed, the 12-year-old succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced deceased.  The 5-year-old female and 5 and 10-year-old males remain in the hospital in critical condition.  Two adults were in the home at the time of the fire and were able to exit the home. 
 
An investigator from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Arson/Bomb Detail and a fire investigator from the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the location and are conducting the investigation.
 
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.  No additional information is available for release at this time.
