Broderic Michael Capps of Apple Valley was arrested for terrorist threats and vandalism

SUSPECT(S): Broderic Michael Capps, a 27-year-old resident of Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): 1) 20-year-old male
2) 54-year-old male
3: 24-year-old male
SUMMARY: On Sunday, May 2, 2021, at 1:27 pm, deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department were dispatched to a report of a subject threatening employees at the Auto Zone 20158 State Hwy 18 in the Town of Apple Valley.
Upon arrival, deputies were unable to locate the suspect, later identified as Broderic Michael Capps. During the investigation, it was learned Capps was asked to leave the location after becoming argumentative with employees. Capps then tried to punch an employee and was escorted out of the store. He returned a few minutes later with an unknown sharp object, stabbed a jug of motor oil, and threatened to kill employees before leaving.
An arrest warrant was issued for Capps, and on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, Capps was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for terrorist threats and vandalism. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on May 13, 2021, and is being held in lieu of $50,000.
