A deputy from the Fontana Sheriff's Station revives a one-year-old child during a call for service

INCIDENT:          Deputy Revives Child During Call for Service
 
LOCATION:        14000 block of Cambria Street, Unincorporated Fontana
 
VICTIM(S): One-Year-Old Child
 
SUMMARY:        On Saturday, May 8, 2021, at about 5:04 P.M., Fontana Station personnel responded to a report of a child not breathing in the 14000 block of Cambria Street. Deputy L. Ramirez was the first to arrive on the scene. She found the one-year-old child limp and not breathing. Ramirez immediately rendered aide and quickly began Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and rescue breathing. After a few rounds of CPR, the child regained consciousness and began to cry. The child was transported to a local hospital where his condition has improved, but he remains hospitalized.
