The crew of the Sheriff's Rescue Helicopter Air Rescue 308 conducted a hoist rescue of an injured hiker

INCIDENT: Big Falls Hoist Rescue
LOCATION: Forest Falls
VICTIM(S): Tiffany Tesmer, 29, of Huntington Beach
SUMMARY: The victim, Tiffany Tesmer was hiking in the Big Falls area of Forest Falls when she slipped and fell approximately 30'. Emergency 911 was called and Sheriff’s Rescue Helicopter Air Rescue 308 was dispatched to locate and rescue Tesmer. AR308 arrived on scene and located the victim at the bottom of the falls being treated by a firefighter. AR308 hoisted a medic down to Tesmer. The medic evaluated Tesmer and packaged her in a rescue litter. AR308 performed a 230' hoist in the confined area and hoisted Tesmer to the helicopter, followed by the medic.
Tesmer was transported by AR308 to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. This rescue marked the 100th live hoist rescue for Crew Chief Wayne Hess.
