* At 654 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Kurthwood, or 10 miles north of Slagle, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.
* Locations impacted include... Boyce, Lena, Hutton, Clifton, Flatwoods and Kurthwood. This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 100 and 108.
* AFFECTED AREAS: RAPIDES, LA ... VERNON, LA
Instructions:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
