Green Bay Police Department to honor Police Week

Green Bay Police Department to honor Police Week by hosting a Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony

Please join the Green Bay Police Department on Thursday, May 13th at 12:00pm for a short ceremony to commemorate Peace Officers Memorial Day/National Police Week. The ceremony will be held in front of the Police Department by the memorial. This is a ceremony to honor all local, state, and federal peace officers who have died in the line of duty.

In 1962, President John F Kennedy signed into law that every May 15th will be Peace Officers Memorial Day. The week of May 15th is established as National Police Week to pay tribute to the law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and voice appreciation for all those currently serving.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

We encourage everyone to practice social distancing.
