On May 5th, 2021, Rutherford County Sheriff Office Narcotics Unit along with Cherokee County Sheriff Office, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacoo and Firearms (ATF) and Cleveland County Sheriff Office made multiple seizures of Methamphetamine and United States Currency. As Reported on April 28th, 2021 Marcy Dawn Vickers has been identified as head of Drug Trafficking Group of Methamphetamine within Rutherford County and surrrounding Counties. During the course of this investigation with Cherokee County Sheriff Office and Cleveland County Sheriffs Office the new address of Vickers along with Courier of Vickers was identified. Approximatley 3.5 ounces of Methamphetamine was seized along with $32,660.00 in United States Currency. Vickers along with other members of this Drug Trafficking Group are still under investigation by Rutherford County Sheriff Office Narcotics Unit. On April 28th, 2021, joint operation between Forest City Police Department and Rutherford County Sheriff Office with assistance of Department of Homeland Security (HSI) and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) executed search warrant at 238 Graham Farm Trail Forest City, N.C. Both the Forest City Police Department Special Response Team (SRT) and Rutherford County Sheriff Office Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) worked together in the execution of search warrant. The suspect in this investigation Brian Keith Cole already had two outstanding warrants for his arrest (DV Protective Order Violation and Misdemeanor Probation Violation). During search of the property approximately 349 grams Methamphetamine, 9mm pistol, $895.00 in U.S Currency, 6.77 grams marijuana and drug paraphernalia was seized. Cole was arrested for his two outstanding warrants for arrest and additionally charged with Firearm by Felon, Trafficking Methamphetamine, and Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. After Cole had his initial appearance in District Court on Thursday 04/29/2021 he received a total bond of $292,500.00 secured. Cole is being considered by Department of Homeland Security for Federal prosecution.
During the course of this search Marcy Dawn Vickers pulled into the driveway of the residence. K9 Kilo on scene was deployed to run an open air sniff of the vehicle being operated by Vickers. K9 Kilo indicated to presence of the odor of illegal narcotics. Approximately 1135 grams of Methamphetamine along with $7,110.00 in US Currency was located in the vehicle of Vickers. Vickers was the only occupant of the vehicle. Vickers is suspect for an ongoing Federal Investigation being conducted and was released on scene. All illegal contraband and U.S. Currency was seized for preservation and prosecution of the case.
