Richard Mincks was arrested after a vehicle pursuit & found to be on Post Release Community Supervision 
DATE/TIME: Tuesday, May 11, 2021 3:15 p.m.
INCIDENT: Possession of controlled substance while armed, possession of narcotics for sales, felony evading, felon in possession of ammunition
LOCATION: W Broadway Street and G Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT: Richard Lee Mincks, 38 years old, resident of Needles, CA
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at approximately 3:15 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department attempted a traffic enforcement stop on a Nissan vehicle near the intersection of W Broadway Street and G Street in the City of Needles. The driver, identified as Richard Lee Mincks, failed to stop for deputies. A vehicle pursuit ensued through city streets in Needles as Mincks drove with no regard for safety of others on the roadway. Mincks crashed the vehicle he was driving during the pursuit and fled on foot. He was taken into custody, without incident, after a short foot pursuit.
Mincks was arrested for possession of controlled substance while armed, possession of narcotics for sales, felon in possession of ammunition and felony evading. Mincks is currently on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS). Richard Lee Mincks was booked into the Needles jail with a bail amount set $50,000.00, pending a court hearing. In addition Mincks has a no bail hold for violation of PRCS.
