6:17 AM: Officers were dispatched to investigated a report of a cold shooting into an unoccupied vehicle that had possibly occurred overnight. Officer Hernandez is investigating.

5:49 PM: Officers responded to a report of a subject refusing to leave a residence in the 36000 block of Burdick Street. Upon arrival officers made contact with a 51-year old male and made several attempts to negotiate him leaving peacefully but were met with non-compliance. Later in the evening officers were dispatched again to the 36000 block of Burdick St, the reporting party indicated the subject became increasingly more agitated, was damaging property and requested to place the subject under citizens arrest. Officers ultimately arrested the 51-year old for trespassing. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

1:56 PM: Officer Fredstrom made contact and arrested a 28-year old male in the 35000 block of Dumbarton Ct for an outstanding warrant. He was issued a new court date and released.
4:22PM: Officer Fredstrom responded to investigate a report of vandalism in the 5000 block of Oleander Dr.
5:07 PM: Officer Karrick responded to a report of shoplifting in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Upon arrival, Officer Karrick accepted a Citizen’s Arrest of a 48-year old female out of Newark for shoplifting. Loss was approximately $400 worth of merchandise. She was cited and released.
6:01 PM: Officer Slavazza and Officer Soto responded to the 5000 block of Jarvis Ave for a report of a collision. Upon arrival Officers made contact and arrested a 31-year old male out of Fremont for DUI.

Monday, April 19, 2021
11:36 AM: Officer Karrick responded to a report of a disturbance in the 7000 block of Thornton Ave. Upon arrival, Officer Karrick accepted a Citizen’s Arrest of a 28-year old male for trespassing. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
4:18 – 5:00 PM: Officers investigated several smash and grab robberies that occurred in the 36000 block of Newark Blvd and the 6000 block of Jarvis Ave. Loss were purses.

6:52 AM: Officer Kapu responded to investigate a report of a burglary to a vehicle in the 6000 block of Graham Ave. Loss was tools.
10:21 AM: Officer Kapu located an occupied stolen vehicle in the 5000 block of Jarvis Ave. Officers initiated a high-risk stop of the vehicle. Officers made contact and arrested the sole occupant, a 25-year old male out of San Jose without incident for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and an outstanding felony warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

5:59 PM: Community Service Officer Lau investigated a cold theft to an unlock vehicle that occurred in the 5000 block of Civic Terrace Ave. Loss was personal items valued at over $2,500.
8:45 PM: Community Service Office Lau investigated the attempted theft of a vehicle in the 6300 block of Zulmida Avenue that occurred sometime after 4/18/21.

12:41 AM: Officers responded to an outside assist call in the 36000 block of Cherry St for a vehicle that had been burned. Community Service Officer Lau documented the vehicle as a theft. The owner was contacted.
12:26 PM: Officers were dispatched to a report of a male waving around a gun in the area of Rockrose Dr and Delphinium Court. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 27-year old male out of Newark. The subject as detained without incident. No weapons were located on the subject at that time, so he was released. Officer Smith and K9 Tio responded to the call and conducted an article search. K9 Tio quickly located an airsoft gun in the area, it was taken for destruction.
9:53 PM: Community Service Officer Lau responded to investigate a burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the 5000 block of Jarvis Ave. Loss was a laptop, drum machine, and a hard drive.

12:30 AM: Officer Losier on-viewed a vehicle in the area of Thornton Ave and Locus St driving at an estimated speed of approximately 85+ mph. Officer Losier made a traffic enforcement stop and made contact and arrested a 33-year old male out of Fremont for DUI. He was booked at Fremont Jail.
9:20 PM: Officer Hererra investigated a vehicle vs. parked vehicle collision in the 36000 block of  Sycamore St. Officer Herrera made contact and arrested a 29-year old female out of Hayward for DUI.

1:22 AM: Officer Riddles and Officer Torres investigated a vehicle collision in the 8000 block of Central Ave. Officer Riddles made contact and arrested a 40-year old female out of East Palo Alto for DUI. 
1:54 PM: Officer Karrick made contact and arrested a 28-year old male on probation out of San Leandro in the area of Stevenson Blvd at the railroad tracks for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

Tuesday, April 27, 2021
8:28 AM: Officer Kapu investigated a theft of a catalytic converter in the 6000 block of Escallonia Dr. The theft occurred sometime overnight.
8:29 AM: Officer Kapu located an unoccupied stolen vehicle in the 39000 block of Potrero Drive out of Newark.
11:09 AM: Officer Knutson investigated the theft of two license plates in the 6000 block of Smith Ave. It is unknown when the theft occurred.
8:07 PM: Officers investigated a cold burglary in the 35000 block of Rugby Pl that occurred sometime over the last three weeks.

1:39 PM: Officers were dispatched to a report of a subject that stole merchandise and fled in the 7000 block of Thornton Ave. Officers located a 39-year old female near by. The subject was arrested for shoplifting, violating probation and for an outstanding warrant. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

9:03 AM: Officer Damewood initiated a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Central Ave and Hyacinth St. Officer Damewood made contact and arrested a 42-year old male out of Hayward for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license and an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Fremont Jail.
3:11 PM: Officer Damewood initiated a traffic enforcement stop on in the area of Cedar Blvd and Central Ave. Officer Damewood made contact and arrested a 34-year old male out of Fremont for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and false registration. He was cited and released. The vehicle was towed.
8:42 PM: Community Service Officer Lau responded to investigate a report of vandalism in the 6000 block of Civic Terrace Ave.
 
Friday, April 30, 2021
10:35 PM: Officer Soto made contact and arrested a 26-year old male out of Newark in the 6000 block of Jarvis Ave for possession of a controlled substance. He was cited and released.
