On Tuesday, May 18th, the LASD Parks Bureau, with the help of the LASD Tactics and Survival unit, the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and other agencies, will be taking part in active shooter training at Castaic Lake Recreation located at 32132 Castaic Lake Drive in Castaic. 

Training will be held between 6AM - 12PM, in which deputies will participate in various active shooter scenarios. Designated areas surrounding the Boating Instructor Safety Center will be closed, so we ask that you please avoid the area. 

Active shooter drills like these sharpen the skills necessary to quickly neutralize a threat and allow for quicker medical response.
