Arrest made in connection with Aggravated Robbery @ Chevron.

On May 15, 2021 two suspects robbed the clerk at the Chevron on Hwy 19.  A black male went in the store, held the clerk at gunpoint, and demaned money.  A white male held the door and served as a lookout.  While leaving the store, the gunman fired one round and struck the cash register just inches from the clerk. 

Officer Brandon Rainwater and Juan Tovar conducted the criminal investigation.  They were assisted by Chief Jones, Deputy Archer, Constable Mark Cole, and T.I.S.D. Chief Wheeler.

On May 17, 2021 the gunman had been identified to be a 16 year old juvenile.  He was detained in Onalaska, Texas and brought back to the Trinity Police Department.  While at the Trinity Police Department he was processed by Judge Stubbs, who subsequently ordered the juvenile to a Juvenile Detention Facilty.  He will remain there until further order of the District Court.

The suspect who held the door and served as a lookout has been idetnified as well.  He is a 16 year old juvenile also.  A warrant has been issued for his arrest and his parents have been contacted.  They are out of state with the suspect and will be turning him in at the Trinity Police Department on May 19, 2021.
