Elisha Hernandez of Hesperia was arrested for armed robbery

SUSPECT: Elisha Hernandez, age 19, out of Hesperia
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, May 15, 2021, at approximately 2:40 PM, Hesperia Deputies were dispatched to the 12700 block of Main Street in reference to an armed robbery. While Deputies were responding to the location, information was provided that the suspect fled the scene in a tan/gold Nissan sedan. An extensive area check was conducted, and Deputies were unable to locate any vehicles matching the description.
Through investigation, it was learned the suspect, later identified as Elisha Hernandez, entered the establishment, brandished a weapon, and demanded the cash from the register. Hernandez ran north from the business where a vehicle was waiting and fled the location. Evidence and witness statements collected during the investigation led to the identification of Hernandez.
On May 18, 2021, at approximately at 12:10 PM, dispatch received a call with information advising Hernandez was in the lobby of the Motel 6 near the intersection of Main Street and Cataba Road. Deputies responded to the Motel 6 and took Hernandez into custody without incident. Hernandez was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for PC 211, armed robbery.
