Vanessa Landaburu was arrested for possession of stolen property & possession/sales of narcotics while armed

LOCATION: Oak Glen Road and Chapman Heights Road, Yucaipa
SUSPECT: Vanessa Landaburu, 40 years old, resident of Riverside
SUMMARY:
On May 19, 2021, at approximately 11:10 P.M., Deputy J. Hagen saw a white Dodge Charger matching the description of an embezzled vehicle. Earlier in the week, the Yucaipa Station received information through our ALPR cameras the vehicle was in the city of Yucaipa. When Hagen attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver turned onto Chapman Heights Road from Oak Glen Road, stopped, and threw out a loaded 9mm handgun. The driver continued and turned into a parking lot near Beaver Medical Center where she threw out a black bag containing approximately 4 ounces of methamphetamine, 1.5 grams of heroin, miscellaneous weapons and several 9mm and 20-gauge shotgun rounds. The driver, identified as Vanessa Landaburu, parked her vehicle and was taken into custody without incident.
Landaburu was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales while Armed with a Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Failure to Yield and being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm. She was booked into Central Detention Center.
