Investigators Need Robbery Suspect Identified.
Investigators are releasing still photos of a robbery suspect who assaulted an off duty deputy while fleeing from the business.
On Wednesday May 19, 2021, deputies responded to a call for service at the Walmart store located at 10411 North Freeway.
Deputies were told by a loss prevention officer a male suspect entered the store and began loading items into a cart.
He then walked out of the store bypassing all points of payment.
A loss prevention officer attempted to detain the male along with an off duty deputy who was providing security for the business.
The deputy attempted to detain the male, when he grabbed the deputy’s arm and twisted away and fled from the store to a vehicle in the parking lot.
The deputy was treated for a minor injury by EMS.
He is described as a black male, bald with a beard.
The man was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
He drove away in a blue colored Chevrolet Malibu with temporary tags. The vehicle has damage to rear bumper area.
