A planned power outage is affecting various residences and businesses in the northern part of the CIty. 
A planned power outage is affecting various residences and businesses in the northern part of the City. The affected area is betweeen Garvey Ave to Harding Ave, and McPherrin Ave to Garfield Ave. Not all residences and businesses are affected.
SCE is upgrading some equipment in the area and the outage is scheduled to last until 4 am on Saturday, May 22nd.
As a result of the power outage, the traffic signal is out at the intersection of Garvey Ave and Ramona Ave.
Just a reminder that when a traffic signal is out, drivers are required to treat the intersection like a four-way stop. Please use caution at these locations and pay attention to pedestrians and bicyclists that may be attempting to cross the intersection. Also, use caution in the affected area as many of the street lights are not operational.
